Details On Ticket Purchase Options

 

Purchasing a GoBus ticket is easy! We offer several different ways to purchase.

Our pricing is based on distance to be traveled to help keep our fares as low as possible.

Purchase Online

Purchase your tickets any time online, and then show them to the driver on your smart device as you board, or you can print them out ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. To purchase your tickets online, go to our booking page. Tickets purchased online are considered “Advance Reservation Tickets.”

Tickets purchased online at RideGoBus.com are refundable and can be reissued within policy guidelines. Requests for refunds or reissues must be made during business hours, and at least 24 hours in advance of the ticket’s departure date and time.

Pricing of Advance Reservation Tickets / Tickets Purchased Online:

Prices are based upon the distance that is being traveled. Ticket base fares are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, or $30. In addition to the base fare, sales tax and a $2.00 service fee will be assessed with each ticket purchase. Children 5 years old and younger ride for free. They do not need a ticket to board the bus, however we do ask that you call us ahead of time and let us know your date of travel so that we can save a seat for your child. Two free child tickets per adult ticket are permitted. (See “Children Traveling” in our Travel Info section of the website for more information about traveling with a child.)

Traveling beyond the GoBus routes? Purchase your tickets through Greyhound – including your GoBus ticket!

Purchase at Ticketing Location

Stop by any of our ticketing locations to purchase your ticket with cash or a credit card (sorry, we cannot accept checks at this time). All of our ticketing locations sell both GoBus and Greyhound tickets. Ticket purchases at one of our ticketing locations are considered “Advance Reservation Tickets.”

Hours of ticket sales vary by location. Please call the ticketing location or 888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287) for ticketing hours.

    Purchase Over the Phone

    Tickets may be purchased over the phone by calling 888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287) between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday though Friday, with the exception of holidays. A credit or debit card is needed to purchase tickets over the phone. You can show your tickets to the driver on your smart device as you board, or you can print them out ahead of time. Tickets purchased over the phone are considered “Advance Reservation Tickets.”

    We can mail tickets via USPS if necessary. If the ticket is to be mailed, the ticket needs to be purchased at least 10 days prior to your travel date.

    Tickets purchased over the phone are refundable and can be reissued within policy guidelines. Requests for refunds or reissues must be made during business hours, and at least 24 hours in advance of the ticket’s departure date and time.

    Purchase from the Bus Driver

    Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver with cash when boarding the bus, provided there are seats available. Tickets purchased from the driver are considered “Non-Reservation Tickets” and are a little more expensive than our “Advanced Reservation Tickets.”

    At this time, our bus drivers can only accept cash (sorry, no credit cards, debit cards, or checks can be accepted by drivers at this time). Prices are based upon the distance that is being traveled. Ticket base fares are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, or $30. In addition to the base fare, an additional $5.00 is added per ticket to cover the tax and the service fee. To find out the price of a specific trip, call us at 888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287).

    Important Information for Passengers Wanting to Purchase Their Ticket From the Driver:

    • Tickets purchased from the driver are not available at ticketing locations – if you need to pay cash for a ticket at a ticketing location, you must do so at the ticketing counter.
    • Cash is accepted ONLY if seats are available.
    • Passengers with Advance Reservation tickets board first.
    • Please pay the driver as you board the bus.
    • The driver can only accept cash. The exact fare amount is required – drivers do not carry change.
    • Passengers must purchase a ticket from each driver for trips that require a bus transfer.

    Please note — we recommend purchasing an Advance Reservation Ticket when traveling on a Friday, a Sunday, or a day leading up to or following a holiday.

    Ticket Prices

    GoBus strives to provide affordable fares for all of our passengers. Fares are based on distance to be traveled. One-way reservation tickets start at just $5 (plus sales tax and service fee) and increase from there, dependent on the distance being traveled.

    Advance Reservation Tickets

    Tickets that are purchased online, from one of our ticketing locations, or over the phone are considered “Advance Reservation Tickets.” Passengers with Advance Reservation Tickets will be boarded first. Passengers with cash will be able to purchase a ticket from the driver once all Advance Reservation passengers have boarded, if seats are still available.

    We recommend purchasing your ticket in advance – especially if you are traveling on a Friday, a Sunday, or in conjunction with a holiday.

    Pricing of Advance Reservation Tickets:

    Prices are based upon the distance that is being traveled. Ticket base fares are either $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, or $30. In addition to the base fare, there is sales tax, plus a $2.50 service charge per purchase. To find the price for a specific trip, call us at 888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287), or go to the booking page.

    Non-Reservation Tickets

    kets can be purchased from the bus driver with cash when boarding the bus, provided there are seats available. Tickets purchased from the driver are considered “Non-Reservation Tickets” and are a little more expensive than our “Advanced Reservation Tickets”.

    At this time, our bus drivers can only accept cash (sorry, no credit cards, debit cards, or checks can be accepted at this time). Prices are based upon the distance that is being traveled. Ticket base fares are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, or $30. In addition to the base fare, the total price of a cash ticket is the base fare plus an additional $5.00 to cover the tax and service fee.     Important Information for Passengers Wanting to Purchase Their Ticket From the Driver:

    Ticket Refunds & Reissues

    Have your travel plans changed? We will gladly refund or reissue your GoBus ticket within policy guidelines.

    Ticket Refunds

    Tickets bought online at RideGoBus.com or over the phone are refundable. All refunds requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and date printed on the ticket, and during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, between 8:00AM and 4:00PM).  Please note that we retain the $2.00 fee when processing refunds.

    Sorry, but no refunds will be approved after the scheduled departure date and time. However, exceptions may be granted for substantial route delays or route cancellations.

    How to request a refund:

    Give us a Call. Call us at 888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287) with your order number during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and we would be happy to help you.

    Send us an Email. Email us your request to  gobus@hapcap.org. Be sure to include your full name and your order number.

    Please note: We can only process refund requests during regular business hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We are closed on certain holidays, so please plan accordingly. A list of our holiday closures can be found here.

    What if I didn’t buy my ticket online at RideGoBus.com or over the phone?

    Tickets purchased through Greyhound’s website, a Greyhound ticketing counter, or a GoBus ticketing location are refundable only through Greyhound. Please visit Greyhound.com – Ticket Refunds and Exchanges for more information.

    Tickets purchased in cash from the driver are non-refundable.

    Ticket Reissues

    The time and/or date of a ticket bought online at RideGoBus.com or over the phone can be changed. This is known as a “ticket reissue.” All reissue requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and date printed on the ticket and must be made during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM).

    Sorry but, no reissues will be approved after the scheduled departure date and time. However, exceptions may be granted for substantial route delays or route cancellations.

    How to request a reissue:

    Give us a Call. Call us at  888-95-GoBus (888-954-6287) with your order number between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and we would be happy to help you.

    Send us an Email. Email your request to gobus@hapcap.org. Be sure to include your full name and your order number.
